Zach Stuppy, MBA

President and Founder

Zach founded Brave Boat Capital Advisors after spending a number of years at larger, more traditional Wall Street firms. He didn’t feel that these firms were fully delivering the client experience that was required of the modern client.  He understood that clients still desired the personal touch and expertise of a traditional advisor relationship but also required a more modern approach to the way information was shared communicated and accessed.  He decided that an independent, fee-only, firm was the best way to serve his clients, expand his offering and provide the best unbiased advice possible.

Prior to starting the company, Zach built and managed a wealth and investment management practice at Credit Suisse where he focused on serving high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families. He has also spent time at Barclays Wealth and Ameriprise Financial.

Zach received his MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC and an undergraduate degree in Economics from Colgate University where he also captained the men’s soccer team.

Zach was born and raised in southern Maine but has called Boston home since the early 2000’s. When he isn’t working, he can still be found on the soccer field, basketball court, golf course or cheering on his favorite Boston sports teams. He currently lives in the North End with his wife, two daughters and dog.

A Message From Our Founder

“I started Brave Boat Capital Advisors after realizing the current landscape of financial service providers was changing.  The large institutions were no longer keeping up with technology needs of the ever modernizing client while other, “inexpensive”, solutions were not providing client with the proper customized advice needed to succeed in an ever changing world.  Clients were becoming a number and not a person. I wanted to change that.”
